Perspective Plan – Goals
Short Term Goals (5 Years)
The institution focuses on strengthening academic excellence, research, innovation and student development through the following strategic objectives.
- ✔ To improve the academic results of the students from 75% to 85%.
- ✔ To publish an ISSN numbered research journal under SJIHMCT Publications.
- ✔ To secure a minimum of 2 patents.
- ✔ To enhance placement opportunities to the next level.
- ✔ To commence the Post Graduate Programme in Tourism & Aviation Management.
Long Term Goals (10 Years)
The long-term vision is to establish SJIHMCT as a nationally and internationally recognised centre for hospitality and tourism education.
- ✔ To attain accreditation by WACS.
- ✔ To become an Autonomous College.
- ✔ To become a Multi-disciplinary College.
- ✔ To establish more academic collaborations with institutions abroad.
- ✔ To become a Centre of Excellence in Hospitality & Tourism Education.
Deployment of Strategic Plan
The Governing Body and IQAC have prepared and implemented strategic plans to strengthen academic excellence, infrastructure, student support and institutional development. The following initiatives were successfully implemented during the period 2018–2024.

| 10 | To provide personalised support to students | Established various student support centres including the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC), Placement Cell and mentoring initiatives. |

| 12 | To apply for NSS Unit | NSS Unit 272 was sanctioned and started functioning in 2022. |
