The health and well-being of students are given utmost importance at St. Joseph’s Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Palai. All students enrolled in the institute are covered under Group Mediclaim and Personal Accident Insurance policies. A First Aid Room is available within the campus to provide immediate medical assistance whenever required.
The institution has access to medical support through a reputed multi-speciality hospital located within approximately 3 kilometres of the campus. Free medical consultation is available for students through healthcare professionals from Mar Sleeva Medicity on Wednesdays. In case of emergencies, medical assistance and ambulance services are available on call to ensure timely healthcare support for students and staff.

Counselling and Mentoring
Counselling by experts is available to those who require it. Students should select one faculty as their mentor. The mentee can seek the help of the mentor at any time and the information passed will be kept as secret. The mentor will help the mentee to resolve problems and will provide with the best guidance possible. A prayer group is run under the guidance and spiritual leadership of Fr.
