ANTI RAGGING CELL
Understanding Ragging
Ragging is defined as any disorderly conduct, whether verbal, written, or physical, that causes or has the potential to cause discomfort, annoyance, hardship, or psychological harm to any student, particularly freshers or juniors. This includes acts of teasing, rude behavior, rowdiness, and indiscipline that lead to fear, shame, or embarrassment, adversely affecting the mental or physical well-being of the targeted student.
Zero Tolerance Policy
At our college, we maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of ragging. Ragging is recognized as a non-bailable offense and is subject to stringent criminal procedures. Any incidents of ragging or attempts to abet ragging brought to the attention of the authorities will result in severe disciplinary action against those responsible.
Regulatory Framework
For detailed guidelines, refer to the “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009” available on the UGC website at www.ugc.ac.in.
Our commitment is to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Let’s work together to uphold the dignity and integrity of our academic community.
