Examination Rules & Regulations
The following rules and regulations are applicable to all students of the Institute as per University norms.
1. Eligibility for Appearing the Examination
Students shall be eligible to appear for the University examination at the end of each semester provided they have:
- Successfully completed the course for the semester
- Secured a minimum of 75% attendance
- Completed all internal assessment requirements
2. Scheme of Examination and Evaluation
There shall be continuous internal evaluation and end semester University examination for each subject.
- Internal evaluation shall be conducted by the faculty
- End semester examination shall be conducted by the University
- Minimum marks required for a pass is 50%
3. Classification of Results
| Marks Obtained | Classification |
|---|---|
| Below 50% | Fail |
| 50% – 59% | Second Class |
| 60% – 74% | First Class |
| 75% and above | First Class with Distinction |
4. Improvement of Marks
- Improvement examination is permitted only immediately after the first appearance
- No supplementary examinations are allowed
- Improvement is not permitted for practical/internal examinations
5. Examination Monitoring Cell
The Examination Monitoring Cell functions under a senior faculty member as Convener. Students may report grievances related to examinations to the Principal for remedial measures.
6. Industrial Exposure Training
- Every student shall undergo Industrial Exposure Training for a minimum of 20 weeks
- Training must be completed in a five-star or four-star deluxe hotel
- Submission of Training Report and Log Book is mandatory
- Failure to comply will make the student ineligible for the VI Semester examination
